I was pleased to support this important campaign #NotYoursToView to stop the use of so-called revenge porn, a vile practice whereby intimate photos and videos are shared without the consent of the person in them. Women are commonly the victims.
The wonderful Georgia Harison from reality TV shows The Only Way is Essex and Love Island has done sterling work on this campaign. Georgia found herself a victim of revenge porn and was forced to take her ex-partner to court.
Georgia also appeared in front of the Women and Equalities Committee to talk about about making changes to the existing law.
I met representatives from @StopNCIIorg which is a free tool which supports victims of non-consensual intimate image abuse. It works to find where the images have been shared and to work with relevant companies to remove that image with a 90% removal rate.
