The Southend West MP launched the ‘Super Surgery’ format on Friday morning alongside key community partners. Essex Police, Welcome to the UK, Healthwatch, Citizens Advice Bureau, and Paul Robinson Solicitors LLP worked with Anna to assist over 40 constituents across a 4-hour period.
From housing needs to healthcare access, residents were able to speak directly with their Member of Parliament and seek immediate support from the relevant organisations who could provide them with the vital help they needed.
The launch of this unique format follows the MP’s commitment to building upon Sir David Amess’ legacy of direct contact with residents. Hosted at Saint Peter’s Church in Eastwood, the event proved to be a major success with constituents praising her for being regularly accessible.
Commenting on the event, Anna said “I was absolutely thrilled with Friday’s event. Regardless of the difficult times in Westminster, it is my primary duty and honour to serve the residents of Southend West and support them with whatever challenges they face. I look forward to future events similar to this and helping many more residents. Thank you to our amazing community partners who made this happen.”
