On Sunday 26th June, Anna Firth MP went to support the Leigh Folk Festival in Leigh-on-Sea. There was a range of activities and events on offer at the festival, with fantastic music, food, dancing, stalls, poetry and of course the infamous Rossi ice-cream.
Anna drew the raffle for SARCC, who provide sustainable and resilient nature-based solutions for coastal communities. She also got to meet the local Leigh Samaritans, who volunteer and listen to others to ensure no-one feels or has to face life alone.
Anna said at the Leigh Folk Festival,
“I am delighted to be able to attend the festival. I am a huge advocate of supporting our local businesses and our community. It helps more people connect with each other, and provides a family day out with a range of events to suit everyone. It was also great to meet so many people, and hear what I can do to help”.
