Anna Firth, Member of Parliament for Southend West, today celebrated the 100th birthdays of Annie Maxted in Belfairs and Joyce Parfett in Leigh.
Anna visited both Mrs Maxted and Mrs Parfett in their homes on the morning of their birthdays to celebrate with them.
Commenting on these milestone birthdays, Anna said:
“I could not be more thrilled to have seen Annie and Joyce today. Having two 100th birthdays on the same day is just incredible. It’s really important to me that we mark these wonderful occasions to respect our elderly and celebrate their unique wisdom and experience. Happy Birthday to the 2 new centenarians! This being the third centenary since the start of the year, let no one doubt the longevity of the people of Southend!”
