The Southend West MP ran her second ‘Super Surgery’ at the St. Peter’s LifeStreams Church on the 20th of January, followings its initial success last October
From housing needs to healthcare access, nearly 40 residents were able to speak directly with their Member of Parliament and seek immediate support from the relevant organisations who could provide them with the vital help they needed.
Welcome to the UK, Healthwatch Southend, Citizens Advice Centre and Paul Robinson Solicitors were present to help guide constituents through their concerns.
The unique format pioneered by Anna Firth MP follows her commitment to be regularly accessible to as many constituents as possible.
Anna said,
“This is what my job is all about – people. I am delighted that so many residents came forward and got the advice, help, and support they were looking for.”
“I look forward to building upon its success and I want to encourage anyone with any concerns to reach out – I will always do everything I can to help.”
Rizwana Awan, CEO of Citizens Advice Southend,
“It’s great to see this partnership working underway and residents getting wraparound support."
“The Super Surgery format works really well, everyone attending gets seen and the positive impact to the community is immense.”
