On Wednesday 20th July, Anna Firth MP attended the Bengal Pride awards hosted in the House of Commons.
Anna spoke at the event, and praised the work that the community have been doing and congratulated all those that received awards.
Sir David Amess was a regular at this event, attending every year, and in memory of him they created an award in his name. The new award, the Sir David Amess award, was won by the Music Man Project. The work this charity does is extraordinary and is deserved of this recognition.
Anna said,
“Its such a privilege to be able to attend and speak at this event. I am mind blown by the immense amount of talent and expertise that the community has to offer, and it is truly inspiring. I am also so happy that the Music Man Project was the recipient of the Sir David Amess, truly deserved”.
