The Southend West MP was delighted to celebrate the major achievement for local care home, Admiral Court, in being named as a Centre of Excellence in Namaste Care.
Namaste Care is a loving approach to changing the focus and structure of people's lives with advanced dementia providing quality of life until the end of life.
The two basic principles of Namaste Care Programs are creating a calm environment and providing all activities and interactions with an unhurried, loving touch approach. These two principles are included in both the group programs and individual programs.
Admiral Court, a Leigh-based ‘Top 20 Care Home[1]’ in 2022, has a key focus on promoting independence for residents living with dementia, supporting an active and fulfilled lifestyle as they are allowed to cook and help around the house in a safe way
The local MP was delighted to celebrate the accreditation with them, praising them for their progress and ground-breaking approach to dementia care.
Anna said,
“Admiral Court is an amazing care home. I have visited a few times now, always taken by their compassion and hard work to help those living with dementia, ensuring they receive the best care possible.”
